100% Virtual for Q1 and Q2

Dear Ednovate students, parents, and staff,

The health and safety of our community come first, and after listening to you and hundreds of our parents, students, and staff, through surveys, focus groups, and conversations, along with the rising public health concerns in Southern California, we have decided all Ednovate schools will be 100% virtual for Quarters 1 and 2 of the upcoming school year (August 4th–December 31st). Full virtual learning in Q1–2 ensures that our students, staff, and families will be safe while also ensuring that our students have a consistent learning experience.

While virtual learning isn’t ideal, with 96% attendance, zero days of learning lost last year, and 7 years of successful hybrid learning experience, we are one of the better-positioned school systems to succeed, especially at this time.

Given that survey results varied across the board, some will support the decision and some may not. We overwhelmingly heard everyone’s concern for their health. We also heard that deciding to go virtual might make returning to work harder for our parents and that the challenges of social isolation will continue to be tough for students and adults alike. We hear all of you.

Over the next few days, our team will reach out to hear more about how we can support our students, staff, and families through these challenges and how we can continue to reimagine what a high-quality virtual learning experience can look like. Your input will be greatly appreciated.
