Kara Maguire

Chief of Staff

Kara Maguire joined Ednovate in the summer of 2019 as Chief of Staff, supporting the Talent, Development and Family and Community Engagement teams in addition to strategic priorities. Previously, she served as the Vice President of People at Aspire Public Schools, a network of college prep charter schools serving students in Los Angeles, the Bay Area, the Central Valley and Memphis. Prior to Aspire, she spent 7 years at Uncommon Schools in the Northeast, managing recruitment, talent development and diversity.

Kara began her career as a 6th grade math and science teacher at Johnnie Cochran Jr. Middle School in LAUSD. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts and Business Leadership from the University of Puget Sound and an MAT in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University.
